You can tell a lot about someone by the type of cushions they have from their home decor choices. This is Elm & Blue's guide to finding out what your cushions say about you.

Not literally, I mean, imagine if your cushions could talk? We definitely do not have a guide to what your cushions are actually saying... But here is our guide to what your cushions symbolise and what it says about the person that you are.

A. The monochrome cushion.

The type of person who has monochrome cushions in their home, is someone who likes to keep things simple; the type of person who doesn't like to live a complicated life, who will choose the easy option over something long and convoluted. You will get a straight answer from this person, they don't beat around the bush.

B. The geometric or abstract cushion.

This is someone with a wild imagination. They can create something from nothing. These types of people tend to be creatives who like to spend time with their hands. Getting creative with little to work with, is their ideal scenario. They are also daydreamers, who like to dream up vivid stories.

C. The life-like cushion.

These people are very matter-of-fact type of people. 'Realists' is another way to describe them. They see things for what they are. They like to see the facts for things. If you were to state something to them, they would need proof before they believe it.

D. The 'extra' cushion.

The type of person with embellished or 'extra' cushions is someone who likes to go the extra mile. Who takes pride in always going above and beyond. They like to be 'extra'. If you asked for one thing, they would give two. There is a fine line between this type of person and someone who likes to show off (and this line occasionally gets crossed!)

E. Nature inspired cushions.

The people who have nature inspired cushions are those that like to be surrounded by the great outdoors. They like to be at one with nature and feel like they are in tune with Mother Earth. These people believe that everything happens for a reason. That everything is meant to be as it is right now. They are calming people.

F. Cartoon or shaped cushions.

These people tend to be really playful, funny, always up for a laugh. They don't take life too seriously. You can always rely on this type of person to lift your spirits when needed.

G. Cushions with quotes.

These people are highly motivated people. They like to be reminded of good quotes to keep them going, to spur them on, to give them a boost when they feel they need it most. The are also inspiring people to others and good listeners.

H. The patterned cushions.

These people like puzzles. They enjoy doing sudokus or brainteasers. They like to be challenged to keep their brains active. They also like to curl up on the sofa with a good book.

I. Bold colour cushions.

These people like to take risks. They are bold in personality and sometimes have a habit of speaking without thinking. They make bold statements and are strong characters. They are also very loyal people who will have your back when you need it.
