It is an opportunity to see a whole new range of exciting posts from people you may never have found, had it not been for the hashtag, which is why we wanted to share with you 11 beautiful real-life living rooms that we have seen whilst scrolling through the hashtag #myhomethismonth.
These images all came from relatively small instagram accounts and they are pictures of their own homes. We took a shine to each image for different reasons and we are pleased to be able to share them with you now and suggest a few ways you can recreate the same look in your own home.
What caught our eye with this living room design as the simplicity and beauty that comes from using different colours but in very subtle shades.
We love the pink hue of the sofa mixed with the light blue cushions and the yellow glow of light coming from the tripod lamp.
Those same colours are reflected in the glasses in the cabinet and also the pictures on the picture rails.
We also love the use of the star light lamp to add a bit more intrigue to the shelves and to break up the framed pictures along the picture rail.
All-in-all this looks like a beautifully cosy and peaceful room to be in and we wouldn't mind snuggling up on that sofa!
To recreate this beautiful look, don't be afraid to mix different colours together and try to give each area of your room a different focal point for your eye. You can pick up a star light lamp and light blue cushion from Elm & Blue to help you reproduce this look.
Elm & Blue are a HUGE lover of all things plant and green right now, so this beautiful image was a scroll stopper for us!
We love the way the plant looks against the beautiful depth of the green sofa in the background; it certainly makes a statement, and accompanying those two bold statements is an on-trend moroccan style rug with the metal and ceramic planters also bringing in bold black lines against subdued colours and muted tones.
This room has a wonderfully natural element to it with the mix of wooden flooring, and large focal plant.
It is a great example of a way to mix textures with different patterns and designs.

When it comes to the ideal nordic vibe in your home, this next image has it down to a T.
The idea of nordic inspired living is to keep things minimal, they call it 'Lagom' meaning 'just the right amount' and there is nothing more nordic then living by this saying in everything you do. They like to keep things simple and when they do decide to use colour in their homes, they usually go for a bold splash of bright sea blue to pull everything else in the room together.
